An excellent option for high-quality food and drinks, Le Saint James Bora Bora is an overwater restaurant located on the main island city of Vaitape. The chef of the house, Chere Jonathan, serves up delicious French cuisine created using locally sourced ingredients.
The restaurant is known for its waterside dining and spectacular sunset views. You can also enjoy a barefoot bar covered with sand as you are treated to hand-crafted cocktails.
The Le Saint James Bora Bora restaurant overlooks the main harbor of Vaitape. From the overwater patio, you can see across the beautiful blue lagoon and gaze at Motu Toopau island. On the southern tip is where the Hilton Nui Resort is located.
The bartenders are happy to whip up signature cocktails such as a Polynesia Mai Tai or Pina Colada as shown above which cost around $15 USD. Fresh local juices are used to make these drinks, however, if hard alcohol is not your thing, they also stock local beers such as Hinano.
One of the signature dishes of Restaurant Le Saint James Bora Bora is the “Polynesian Plate by Le St James” which is raw tuna served with coconut milk, half-cooked red tuna, red tuna tartare, and red tuna carpaccio. At around $28 USD, it’s a great way to sample many of the restaurant offerings.
On a lighter note, if you are in the mood for a fresh Seasonal vegetable salad, the St James restaurant has a delicious option. At around $17 USD, several types of veggies are used as well as sliced potato all mixed with a light dressing.

Good day. We will be staying at the InterContinental Bora Bora & Thelasso Spa for part of the second week of November and wondering how best to get to your restaurant from there for dinner? Also would we be wise to make reservations ASAP once we decide on a night ?
Thank you in advance for your response,
Gary and Jean Miller
Hi Gary and Jean! Let the hotel concierge know upon your arrival that you would like to make a reservation. They will be more than happy to help you. For getting there, you will most likely take the resort’s boat to their sister location on the main island, the InterContinental Le Moana, from there the restaurant will have a complementary taxi to take you to the restaurant. Enjoy your stay!
