The Chez Nono Bora Bora hotel is a great option if you want to be right on the beach at a semi-affordable price. The hotel is located on the white sands of Matira Beach, and a grocery store and many other options for eating are within walking distance which is a great plus. There’re not many cheap options when you travel to Bora Bora, but if you’re okay having the bare necessities, then the Chez Nono is your way to go.
There are rooms in the big house and four bungalows located at Chez Nono. The rooms share a kitchen and bathroom with solar hot water. The bungalows have private bathrooms with solar hot water. (When searching for budget accommodations, make sure you know whether hot water is available – many have only cold, and you don’t want to be surprised!)
The two larger bungalows are built in the traditional style, with thatched roofs and bamboo walls. They overlook the lagoon, making them the popular choice. However, please realize that Matira beach is a public beach and can be busy. Don’t expect a lot of privacy.
Teremoana Tours is operated by Nono. He takes guests around the island on a very popular tour on his motorized outrigger canoe from 9:30-4:30, including a picnic on a motu. Teremoana Tours also has a 4-wheel drive safari tour available.

I stayed there in June 2010. Unfortunately, a few months later, the “big house” burned down. http://www.ladepeche.pf/article/faits-divers-justice/les-flammes-ont-ravage-les-bungalows.
Only the two bungalows (not four) are now rented out.
